RR: Then the next one is Earth Girl, which is another love song and really beautiful. And that has like a 1920s flavor.
NY: It's weird, isn't it?
RR: Yeah. Did you ever listen to music like that, like 1920s or show tunes?
NY: I listened to all music. This came to me in a way. I just kept hearing this melody, and I could hear the melody, and I could play it. And then it was like two melodies at once. And I'm going, well, wait, one of them has got slow words, and the other one's got a lot of words and a lot of changes. But they happen on the same chords. So I put the two together, so you can almost hear two songs at once in there. That's what might be one of the most complex songs that I've ever written. I don't know how I did that, but there it is.
