JM: What do you think of “Such a Woman”?
NY: I haven’t listened to it in a long time … took a lot out of me when I did it, I know that … I had to go through a lot of changes.
JM: Why?
NY: Uhhhhhh, I don’t know. It was like a lot of mental baggage went with it. It was not easy.
JM: There’s a masochistic quality to that record. Am I wrong?
NY: You mean like “I’m hurting myself”? I know it made Pegi kinda uncomfortable.
JM: You sound like a guy who would do anything for love.
NY: Yeah, I think that’s it.
JM: Do you idealize women?
NY: Well, maybe I do—and I just can’t come to grips with it.
